Hebrew Cone,Viroconus ebraeus
The  Hebrew Cone, Viroconus ebraeus, and the Soldier Cone, Rhizonconus miles, are both examples of worm eating, vermivorous, members of the Conidae.

Textile Cone,
Cylinder textile

Nussatella Cone, Hermes nussatella

The Nussatella Cone and Textile Cone are both seasnail
eating, mollusciverous, conesnails although the radular tooth
in H. nussatella is said to resemble those in vermivorous
species.  The Textile Cone, Cylinder textile, is especially
venomous, its sting can be fatal to people.

Striate Cone, Prionoconus striatus

Prionoconus striatus, the Striate Cone, is a fish
eating, piscivorous, species, its venom highly toxic, comparable with that of the Textile Cone above and as in the case of the Textile Cone, live specimens should be handled with a great deal of caution.

The five cone-shells shown here are part of a larger collection of sea-shells that were collected sometime during 1941 -(?)1942 near Pago Pago, American Samoan by Alice B McDonnell and her husband Lt Robert B McDonnell, CEC, USNR,

Taxomomic terminology varies according to reference. For example Hermes nussatella, may be given as Conus (Hermes) nussatella with Hermes being a subgenus, or simply Conus nussatella.
